DICK AYERS Published Original Art ,Unknown Soldier #234, page 1, Splash page, 2 pieces (Signed)...

Featuring an Original published piece of art by Dick Ayers (pencils) and Gerry Talaoc (inks)...Comes from the Unknown Soldier page #1, issue #234 (stamped on the back of the pieces by DC Comics)....The top picture/scan is the Original artwork that we bought straight from Dick Ayers back at the SDCC in 2007, with the bottom pictures/scan being the corrected copy pieces that went to press...Dick Ayers signed this piece and dated it for us...His signature appears twice on the original page with side notes (some of which in his writings)...DC made changes to the original piece including the logo and lead-in, the credits, and the title (from the 'Final Showdown' to the 'Jungle Showdown'), plus copyright info....Dick received the 2 pieces at different times from DC and put them together for one sale...If you have any questions? Please do not hesitate to email... With the Unknown Soldier fighting a Crocodile in a swamp/jungle, with a Nazi (WWII) German waiting on the side to finish the job, if the Croc doesn't...Nice big splash page... NOTE: The white squares near the bottom of the pages, is a digital mark only and is NOT part of the pieces...
This item is in VERY FINE+++ condition...Brand new with a little handling wear, and some corner bumping...
Created when? : 1979 (for original art), with a date on the back of the re-shot piece of 1998 (possibly when Dick Ayers received the page back from DC?)...
Size : (approx) 11.5" x 17.5"....
